At-a-Glance
During the 2022 - 2023 academic year, I worked with California Volunteers under their College Corps branch at SJSU.
I was part of an amazing cohort that delivered interactive computer science education
to underserved 3rd to 6th graders and collaborated with various local communities throughout the Bay Area.
Educated elementary grade students by teaching computer science concepts through projects with step-by–step directions, relevant hands-on materials, and interactive games, enabling them to gain computer literacy through coding.
Developed and released a Scratch-based video game across 5 partnered elementary schools, engaging over 100 students.
Formulated a comprehensive project plan encompassing topic research, design, and development, while facilitating iterative feedback sessions to enhance game design and improve overall usability.
Collaborated with cross-functional teams to develop concepts and prototypes for testing, fostering strong partnerships to ensure efficiency and quality delivery within a 4-month timeframe.
Conducted recruitment efforts through tabling events on college campus to effectively engage with prospective
members by providing information about the organization's initiatives.
Participated in team-building activities that strengthened cooperation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
